This position requires substantial independence and has a strong growth potential.

Ideally your background covers one or more of these categories:

    • Experience with 3D imaging

    • Experience with design and calibration of point scanning imaging systems and cameras (for example LiDAR or microscopy)

    • Experience with single photon cameras and sensors

    • Experience with embedded computing

    • Experience with prototype electronic and mechanical design

Location: Madison, WI or Boston, MA

  • We are looking for interns excited to be involved with an early-stage, well-funded start-up. We are looking for students with backgrounds in computer science or electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, product and business development, and marketing. Students will be working closely with the start-up leadership team.

Both undergraduate and graduate students should apply for this position. Specific projects and tasking will be influenced by level of experience and area of interest. Duration and start-date are flexible, with this position having the option of extending into the academic year.

Computer Science and Electrical Engineering: Students will work closely with the technical team, implementing computer vision algorithms and developing GUIs. Opportunities are also available in embedded software, perception, and imaging systems.

Mechanical Engineering: Students will work closely with the technical team, developing rapid prototypes of enclosures and mechanical interfaces for the prototype camera system and dev kit. Students interested in this position should have experience with CAD and rapid prototyping.

Product and Business Development: Students will work closely with business and product leads to identify and perform product-market fit, market analysis, and customer needs analysis. Graduate-level students interested in this position will have the option to lead the market analysis and customer outreach for a target industry.

Marketing: Students will work directly with both the technical and business/product teams to develop marketing materials, including pitch decks and concept videos. Students will have the option to work closely with our prototype camera systems to build our demo videos, comparing our camera’s performance to others available on the market in head-to-head comparisons. Students should have a desire to illustrate ‘the art of the possible,’ communicating to customers not just what our system can do for them today, but also our vision. Students will also have the option of building our brand’s online presence, including website and social media.
